Comments are back @ 10 Mar 2010

So, Haloscan decided to die on me. Well, not just me it just quit. So all the previous comments are gone and I'll have to look for a new comment system or perhaps blogging system all together. So if you have any suggestions...?

Bleh, I feel miserable at the moment. Not only did the boss my internship called me a messy person last week, today I discovered the key of the building of my internship was missing from my pocket. Yesterday I took the train and went to the theater with friends so I must have lost it along the way or during the movie itself. Whatever the case is, it leaves me with an incredible depressed feeling. Sigh, I'm worthless.

The movie sucked by the way. I went to Alice in Wonderland, I thought it would be an awesome 3D movie but it really wasn't. I regret not going to The Wolfman instead.

This summer I will also visit Tokyo, Japan for two weeks. We already booked a hotel on Higashi-ueno, taito-district which is only one kilometer removed from Akihabara. So we're excited for that. We also already booked our plane tickets so we're all set. We'll be flying with JAL (Japan Airlines) which is a pretty good flying company. We already decided on a big list of what to do. First up is of course Comiket! The biggest doujinshi convention. We will of course visit Akihabara, Sanrio Puroland, Kan'ei-ji, Sensō-ji, Asakusa Shrine, Ueno Park, Shinjuku Gyoen, Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Street, Ikebukuro, Sunshine City, Trick Art Gallery, NHK Studio Park, a hot spring, Toei Animation, Koishikawa Kōrakuen Garden, Vampire Cafe, Tokyo Animation Center and Maid Cafe Cos-Cha.

Of course, I shall blog about each day I spend there.

So last Saturday we also went to Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. I've never been there for myself. Just for school stuff. So it was really interesting. The train station was a complete mess there due the cleaners strike. Anyway Amsterdam is a pretty unique city to say the least. Every tourist store sells but a couple of things; stuff with porn, weed and soccer. It's very strange to think people from outside the Netherlands picture this city as "normal" here in our country. Well, Amsterdam felt like a foreign country to me and I lived in Holland all my life. XD

We also went to China town in Amsterdam where I bought a bought a fortune cookie - The years ahead will become better - it said, the cookie itself tasted awful by the way. After that we went to various shops where we also bought some mochi, which we ate cold but you're supposed to eat it hot haha. Later that night we went to a Japanese restaurant where the three of us all ordered some ramen (or lamen, as they called it). No one was able to finish the entire bowl. Eating with sticks is hard by the way. When I cheated and started to use the spoon the Japanese woman would come up to me to correct me. XD Anyway, it tasted pretty good.

So that's all for now =P

Update! @ 31 Jan 2010

It's been a while since my previous update. It amazes me how much I'm neglecting my blog. Maybe because I aren't that interesting as a person (haha).

So live has been busy. Thanks to school I didn't have much time for anything else. My internship starts tomorrow, let's see how that turns out. It lasts 'till early June I believe. A really long time so I hope I'll enjoy myself at that company and I hope I'll fit in.

But you might wonder, an update, this could only mean... Yes, I did attend a convention again *hahaha*. It was really fun. I went to Tsunacon with Danielle. We were cosplayed as Ciel and Sebastian from the anime and manga Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler). As the title might imply, she was my butler.
Anyway, the day before the con I went to her place to spend the night. We watched the Kuroshitsuji musical, which was RAW and quite boring actually. And they couldn't even sing that well. I also tried on her wig and it looked absolutely ridiculous on me.

The next day we woke up at around 7 AM, very early considering it was a Sunday and we switched on her computer to watch DragonBall Kai. *Vegeta-centered episode yaay* After that we ate something and got dressed. We took the car to the place the con was held, which was somewhere in the south of the country. I got to read the map while she was driving. Amazingly enough, we didn't take any wrong turns or anything. We got there as fast as possible! We amazed ourselves! So after we got there it snowed, so I told her to get dressed in the car so that we wouldn't have to do so on con grounds. So we did. Her coffee was also spilling on all our items and she told me to throw it out of the car. Her gloves were already covered in coffee. So after I threw the coffee out I stepped outside of the car... and stepped right into the frickin' coffee @__@ Hellooo ruined shoes XD

So we walked to the con grounds from the parking lot, and I didn't wear my jacket and neither did she. When I saw the length of the line we decided to head back to grab our coats (although she didn't put on hers ._.). In the line my toes were FREEZING!! So cold! People were also started to take shelter from the snow under our umbrella XD When we -finally- got in, we headed towards the dealerroom (of course!)!! They had a lot of merchandise I liked, such as nendoroids and lot's of DBZ stuff. Many people asked for a photo of us which was very cool. A girl also gave me compliments for my shoes, she couldn't believe I had simply used felt to make them. So many photos and shopping later we decided to snoop around. We got hungry so we ordered some food. We decided to put our bought things into her car rather than the storage room of the convention. So we drove the car to a parking spot that was sooo close to the entrance! Veeeery nice.

After that we had some professional photos made and we headed to the dealerroom some more. We also watched a contest which had Holland and Belgium battling each other for who knew most of anime. The Netherlands obviously won. We also participated in a Japanese lesson workshop. I finally got to learn the difference between Katakana and Hiragana. After that it was time to go home. We found a mac donalds when we were almost already home x_x

Oh, I also got kidnapped and hugged randomly. Aren't conventions strange XD And I just keep on going!

Oh, I also got an A+ for school and I revamped my site. Hurray.

By the way, does anyone know a good alternative for Haloscan? Since it's gonna quit and all.

Abunai! '09 @ 20 Sep 2009

It's been a while (again, I know X_x). First I'll talk about stuff going on in my every day life, after that my Abunai report.

So, school is going pretty well. We have less hours this year, yes! This won't be for long though, because I'm gonna go through an internship around January. I hope I'll find a good company. I also failed my Dutch exam... it was a reading exam to be precise. Usually I'm pretty good at those, so I was very surprised when I heard my score. o_o I'll be re-taking that in a couple of months, I believe.

Then, skip to my other school. Driving school to be exact. I'm still in the student seat. Last week I failed for the second time. The problem ain't driving itself, but the planning ahead. So, believe it or not, next week is my third time. Please, let me pass!!!

Going away from all that depressing stuff, I went shopping with Danielle last week. It was fun although a bit short, because we were going to catch a movie afterwards. This movie was Inglorious Basterds. It was really long!! I had to head back home right after!! @__@

Abunai was yesterday! I went with Denise, her boyfriend and Melissa. I was cosplayed as Bulma from the very first episode of DragonBall. This was a recycled cosplay due the lack of time (only two weeks X_x). So I got there and we met up right after. We went in, no line yet. We were early. I decided to get dressed. After I did, we went in line for the dealer room. We were the first ones to get in! And like most of the time, it severely lacked DragonBall merchandise. I got myself a cute chibi Son Goku figure, though! ^^ I also purchased a FullMetal Alchemist manga. The one where Ling...[spoiler]!

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei! & My clay creations; Puar & Oolong

So after the dealerroom, we were kind of bored o_O There wasn't scheduled much. Only making a lucky cat of clay or something. We tried that but IU got bored after 10 minutes. XD You can go game then.. or watch anime... but those are all things I can do quite well at home! So out of boredom I called my friend who is staff at the convention. I asked if he had any tips for us. He didn't! He even admitted that there wasn't a lot to do! ^^" Anyway, we got hungry anyway so we went to eat something.

That's when I met my husband.
Oh well, Bulma's husband anyway! A Vegeta cosplayer! He kept begging me for photos with him. For some reason, I even ended up having a professional shoot with this guy. I acted more like Vegeta (distant) and he more like Bulma (all over me) XD So eh.. no clue how those photos turned out, but I have this bad feeling in my gut (haha) XD

Now THAT'S what I call cool cosplay & Great Saiyaman!

Sooo after that awkward experience, we went back in and amused ourselves (somehow). I met a lot of DragonBall cosplayers (hurray!). I saw Gyumao, #17, #18, Videl and even the Great Saiyaman. He was the best imo. He even had the helmet!

The cosplay compo was of better quality this time. Some acts were quite amusing! Like the first act, a Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei act! ^^
It was getting late and we attended one more workshop, which was the Kamehameha workshop. Wasn't that special though. I would've attended if only they didn't record the entire thing.

So, after that I went home. I'm glad everyone enjoyed my cosplay. Although my wig SEVERELY REBELLED against me!!! Probably because the weight of the braid. This is the main reason why I fear all the photos people have taken of me X_x

Ah well, I'm hoping for the best D;

Oh, by the way!! Shadow adopted the fanlisting for me!! I'm so happy and honoured!! Visit it here!

Chibicon 2009 @ 16 Jun 2009

Hi there,

Sorry for not having updated in ages. I completely blame my laziness. XD
Summer vacation will start pretty soon. I'm currently in my last week of school. Yesterday I had an math test which I pretty much failed.. (don't know for sure yet but it's a gut feeling). But that was pretty much the school's fault since we hardly learned that chapter to begin with.

Anyway, I also went to Chibicon last weekend! It was a lot of fun. We took the train of 8:45 AM. This was the first time for me to travel to a convention with a companion. Considering the times before this I attended conventions with Caroline and Nick, who both come from completely opposite direction of the country. They didn't feel like going unfortunately... but I really wanted to go so Danielle went with me!

When we arrived at the train station of Utrecht it was time for us to dress up. We didn't see any other cosplayers yet, which was very odd because last year the station was literally crawling with cosplayers. So we went into the bathroom and it was very crowded. Some girl came out of the toilet and said that one was broken.. so we took that one because no one would be using it anyway. After a while the toilet lady forced us out; "No more than one person per toilet!"... Yeah, we should totally use two when it's that busy ¬¬" And she was very mad at us... Anyway, we were done and left the bathroom in costume. Still no other cosplayers to be seen. We went looking for the bus that would take us to the convention. We were completely lost but fortunately we ran into other cosplayers who were also lost. Together we got there anyway, but because of the confusing we were quite late and the massive waiting line before the convention had already disappeared when we arrived.

Cosplayers we met at Utrecht XD & The con!

So we went in and we had our tickets scanned, so we brought our bags to the bag room and went towards the dealer room which had a massive line!! So we stood in line and I saw some people carrying a big camera and some guys we stood before us were talking about it so I talked a bit with them too, and then they releaved the knew me from Youtube? Caroline and I made various weird videos of our con experience and they apparently saw them. It was pretty amazing, I didn't think I'd get recognized for that! So after *quite* a while we finally made it into the dealerroom. We immediatly saw DBZ merchandise and purchased it. This is what I got;

And also Peach Girl: Change of Heart volume 1 and a free manga of Akira Toriyama: "Cowa!".
I also sold two of my things; a DBZ wrist band and a figure of a manga girl. After the dealerroom it was time to grab a snack. They didn't have many food so I had some Noodles (mushroom chicken flavour).

I don't know who they were supposed to be, but they look pretty funny -- & I'm even using chopsticks!

After we had something to eat we decided to attend some workshops!! But they were all filled up, what the hell?! We wanted to have Japanese lessons so badly!! Well, we went to the manga library and read a little bit... then we grabbed our bags and went behind the building for some photos.

After that we headed back. We also watched some stuff happening at the main stage such as the Anime Quiz and an act. The act wasn't exactly fantastic so we left. We also came across a Bardock and Lunch cosplayer. They asked us if we could do a group shot around 4. So we agreed and we also met a Goku cosplayer and a Mr. Satan cosplayer. We all stood next to each other and a lot of visitors started taking pictures, pretty funny I almost felt like a celebrity. XD Afterwards a guy came up to me and asked me if I would also attend Abunai as Bra. I said I wasn't quite sure yet, and he said that if I would, he would be Trunks. XD Okaay...

They were all pretty cool people!

After that we walked around the building and attended the dealerroom once more (the line had disappeared). Then we grabbed another meal. Only 4 little pieces of chicken and something to drink was my dinner T.T I wanted fries!! xD Then we sat outside so I could sell some of my merchandise. No one showed up at the appointed time ¬¬" I was pretty disappointed. But while we waited a lot of people asked for our picture =D

We went back in and I came across a great Sebastian (Kuroshitsuji) cosplayer! I had to have a photo of that of course. It was time to leave when we wanted to grab our bags but in that room a girl was lying on the ground... I figured they were playing some weird game but the girl had indeed fainted @_@ Fortunately she was back on her feet when I got my bag.

Here come the blurry shots; Sebastian & Me getting rid of my pathetic meal XD

When we went back it was all less confusing. On the way home I wasn't bored considering we played a lot of games =D

Anyway, it was a great day. See you next year!!

Updating again after a while @ 08 May 2009

Hi there.. XD

It's been a while since I've updated my blog. I just didn't feel like it much. But since January a lot has happened so I feel obliged to update again... so here we go!

- A while back in march there was a DBZ marathon where I went with my friend Zavazz and a member of my forum (Bra aka Danielle). We arrived at around 2 PM even though the marathon would start at 3. I was responsible for bringing all the goods so the show couldn't start without me anyway. XD Anyway, we watched the whole way through till the Namek arc and they didn't even skip the filler even though I wanted to.. There was also a quiz, I figured it was easy for me but it was a quiz which required you to pay attention to the smallest details (how is Yamcha's baseball club name spelled? for instance) and considering I slept through the filler I became second in the contest. Thankfully we losers also got a prize, which was a retarded looking Goku - Yay!

- Speaking of retarded. We also went to see DragonBall Evolution, the american adaption of DragonBall. It was really bad. We went with a group from my forums and it was all girls and really fun. We constantly mocked the movie when we went to see it and laughed the whole way through. We went to the Burger King too and we got a DBE Piccolo figure (we all got Piccolo)... in a batsuit. So yeah, he's standing next to my retarded Goku right now.

- So I've also been doing a lot of cosplay shopping lately. My Trunks cosplay is complete and Bra is pretty much finished as well. Both times I went to the cities with friends were really fun. The first time I went with Danielle and the second time with Denise. I hope Il'll go shopping again with them soon.. even though it can be pretty tireing if you're looking for a specific thing which almost no store has X_x (Like striped shirts, right Denise? XD)

- I also went to the movie Wolverine last week with Danielle. It was a lot cheaper than DBE and also a better movie... I can see where their money went XD but the movie wasn' all that great really.

- And last weekend Animecon also happened. I did my very first crossplay as Trunks from DBZ. Caroline went as Son Goten from the same series. Acon unfortunately wasnt a lot of fun because Nick cancelled and Caroline wasn't exactly filled with energy the entire day, so we skipped a lot of activities and such. We had a nice little photoshoot though and I also met Andrea (Pinaygwaps) and Handbear of the forums, both really nice girls ^^ They were in DBZ cosplay also. Anyway, we received a lot of compliments for our costumes which was really nice and the gophers even asked me if I would bring my DBZ cosplay next year. I'm not too sure though, considering Caroline won't be going to cons ever again, and Acon is pretty expensive... But I absolutely loved it last year so I keep hoping that it will be a lot of fun again...

Anyway, that's all for now. Currently at school so I can't type in peace forever.. XD
So see you soon (I hope) XD
